Dunluce Castle

Dunluce Castle.

The ruins of this medieval castle, clinging to the cliffs between Portrush and Bushmills date from at least 1500ad. Occupied originally by the MacQuillans and later the Mc Donnells. It is not hard to imagine the battles that took place for control of this very important vantage point along the coastline.

Carrick-a-rede rope bridge, Northern Ireland

“The seaside resort of Portrush (Port Rois) bursts at the seams with holidaymakers in high season and, not surprisingly, many of its attractions are focused unashamedly on good old-fashioned family fun. However, it’s also one of Ireland’s top surfing center and home to the North’s most prestigious golf club.”
